How can we help?

The spacing from one hole to another is too narrow

Reason of failed review:

As shown in the image, under standard 1oz copper thickness, the spacing between holes of the same net is too narrow

and exceeds our manufacturing capabilities. We recommend redesigning these holes as a continuous slot instead.

Suggestions:

For 1oz copper thickness, the minimum spacing between holes of the same net should be:

a. ≥ 0.3 mm for plated through holes

b. ≥ 0.15 mm for vias

c. ≥ 0.2 mm for non-plated holes

If you plan to replace the hole array with a slot, please follow these guidelines:

a. Define the slot using a mechanical layer, outline layer, or drill layer with a rectangular or oval shape.

b. Avoid creating slots by connecting multiple overlapping or adjacent holes.

c. The minimum width of a non-plated slot should be ≥ 0.4 mm.

d. The minimum width of a plated slot should be ≥ 0.3 mm.

e. If the slot length exceeds 5 mm, the slot will be milled instead of drilled. In this case:

The non-plated slot width should be ≥ 0.8 mm

The plated slot width should be ≥ 0.65 mm
